Love yourself more!
Self-love is a hot topic these days.
How do you love yourself more?
Are you looking for new ways to love yourself?
Do you want to get into the practice of self-love?
Do you want to feel better about yourself?
Have you been practicing self-love and want to know what else you can do?
SELF-LOVE is a practice that's about moving through the world and your life with radical self-acceptance and radical love for yourself. It is not about being selfish or putting yourself first, though some people think that it is. In fact, it's quite the opposite.
This blog will be focused on self-love, creativity, and pure joy. I hope you'll join me!
Self-love is a lifestyle, and that lifestyle begins with a date night, with yourself.
So kick off your shoes, pour yourself a glass of wine (or a cup of tea), and get ready to see how easy it is to spend some quality time with yourself. Self-love isn’t about making huge sacrifices or doing something painful. It’s about getting clear on what you take into your personal and emotional spaces and adjusting accordingly.
While that might sound like a cliché, it's the truth. We often don't love ourselves enough, and we make all sorts of excuses for why we can't. "I'm too fat" or "I have acne". I know you've said them too, because you're human and these are lies we tell ourselves.
The good news is that it's also possible to stop lying to yourself and start loving yourself more.
I don't know about you, but I've been having a rough time with myself lately. Not in the sense that I hate myself or anything (though I've definitely had my moments), but in the sense that when it comes down to it, self-love is hard as hell. I started thinking about all of the ways we can love ourselves better, and this is what I came up with.
- Every day, give yourself a little treat. It doesn't have to be anything big—just something that will make you feel better about yourself. Maybe it's getting a manicure and pedicure, or maybe it's watching one of those cheesy crime dramas you love so much. Whatever it is, treat yourself well every day. (Or at least every third day.) Don’t feel guilty about it.
- Take a break from the internet, Instagram.
Ahh, social media. The way you make us feel about our bodies and our businesses. You are so hard on us sometimes!
You know how that is, right? So many of us take a break from social media—just because we need to recharge, or because we're feeling insecure, or because we just have to get some work done. And then… it's all so easy to compare ourselves to the other accounts out there. Maybe their business is bigger than ours. Maybe they have more followers. Maybe they look better in their photos than we do.
- Have a self-love morning routine.
6. Tell someone you love them. This one feels so good. Love is contagious!
